BUMUN!!
On the 30th, Nov & 1st, Dec...the first ever Bahrain Universities Model United Nations was done.
I was the Honourable Delegate of New Zealand!! in the General Assembly... It's a good experience... Now, I can fully understand an article talking about a resolution, General Assembly, etc.
I think that the UN resolutions are not very useful, because they are too general and don't add lot of value.
Model United Nations is a really good example for an interesting and useful way of learning. It's possible to know everything related to the UN by reading it from a book or going to lecture, but doing it in that way wouldn't stick the information in your mind and it will be kind of ambigius...
Participating in it made the process very clear and I will hardly forget it...
Thank you for all the people who worked on it to make it successful..
Thank you to Mrs Doris, the students, General Organization for Youth and Sports (GOYS), Sheikha Hessa School.
AND Thank U to Dr. Tariq for nominating me to participate :)
and the thank you Honourable delegate of Span <>:)
Thank you for my parents and family, too.
Your Sincerely,
Honourable Delegate of New Zealand.

Salaam..
What does "Salaam" means to you?
This was the last activity we've done in AIESEC Summer Strategic Conference 2005.
I arrived in Denver, Colorado on Friday 12/August/2005.
The conference started.
There were about 250 AIESECers and interns in the conference.
Diversity...
Black, White, Muslim, Jewish, Christian, Asian, African, American and Australian.
We all gathered up...we made interactive activities...
I was learning without communicating with them. How all these people are sharing, interacting peacefully in one place.
1st day:
The organizers were introduced to us. We, the Salaam trainees, were introduced to the people there.
We came from 4 different countries, but Jennifer said: this year they expanded, they had an intern from Saudi, Aqueel, and from Bahrain, Me.
I remember when Jennifer was introducing the countries " Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia and UAE) and she stopped when I said "AND BAHRAIN".
I'm proud that my country is represented in that diverse, great conference, where no colour, religion or thoughts limitations.
After the conference opening has finished, all the Salaam trainees gathered and we talked about our expectations of the conference and what we wanted to give and gain...what we wanted to teach and learn???
While we were communicating with each other, I was learning very interesting things quickly. Knowing more about Morocco and Tunisia...See how people from the same country are diverse in thoughts...It was Wonderful!! Looking at things from different perspectives, although we all come from the Arab World.
I learnt how to accept people, who are very very different than me... I learnt that their is always another angle of what you are thinking of... I've seen how bright youth we have in our countries...
" Get in the habit of bringing together diverse concepts, accepting seemingly opposite points of view at the same time, and embracing what authors James C. Collins and Jerry I. Porras call the " Genius of the AND.""

The Arab Festival @ Seattle Center
This is ((BAHRAIN Booth)) in the Arab Festival ... I liked it...I met lots of nice people...About 120 people visited the booth...
As you can see in the booth, there are some traditional clothes..and I was wearing the same;)...and some pictures, I put two pix of the women ministres Dr. Fatima and Dr. Nada...to show the status of women in Bahrain because lots of people here have a wrong idea about women in the Middle East...
